I have never really really cared for the SLR and I'm sure it's very fast in a straight line it's kind of weird looking. Also, given the price you could have 2 nice exotics for that price tag or a handful of 'normal' sports cars.

I think it looks great
I think MB / McLaren pulled out all the stops for this car to be 'the best' in some ways. It may not have turned out as well as it could have, but it is a distinctive car like few others.

Rai, nice, I was just about to post that too.
No, no, and no, none of those guesses are correct. Well, I was watching the master tech who actually worked on it today...the special lift he needed was bein taken up cuz the lift actually screws INTO the car cuz a regular lift will mess up the CF. I looked underneath and you see NOTHING but CF!!! Its like a couple flat CF pieces to create a big ass piece of CF to make the diffuser that covers EVERYTHING. Man, even the floorboards in the car are CF. He said it takes 8 hours for an oil change! And it pays 23!! Lucky bastard. Anyway, just....SICK!! Maybe the Top Gear video will persuade some of the naysayers by its technology. I dont kno, to each its own. I think its a masterpiece. Not AMAZINGLY PERFECT or anything, but an incredible machine.
