Slickiest gearbox on the planet

My Cayman S w/ the OEM short shifter had great shift action, as does my Miata. I'd still give the nod to the S2000, aside from the 2nd gear grind that afflicted my S2K's when shifting quickly.

DSG (VW) and Mitsu (SST) have great paddle-shifted gearboxes, per my own experiences.
DCT (BMW) was horrible in the E46 M3 and M5 but the new one in the E92 (?) M3 is supposed to be fantastic (I have yet to drive a new one). PDK (Porsche) is also supposed to be fantastic.
The GT-R transmission is also supposed to be fabulous while the Ferrari transmissions are often regarded as poor in traffic (even the newest ones) and slow-speed driving but awesome when driving quickly. Haven't driven either so I can't comment.

The Miata transmission is very "notchy". I love it.
I have a short shifter and a super low countersunk shift knob. It feels very similar to the S. They are both Mazda trannys to it's not that hard to imagine.

Well, I'm allowed one mistake. I just have to watch it from now on.
