dad's had one of each gen maxima including the first datsun maxima in florida except for 91?-94 when he had the 92 Q45. mom is trading her 94 quest for an 03 murano in the next week or so. gotta love the nissans.
i can't afford an s2k so instead im buying the next best thing, a honda cbr600f4i in the next week or so.

katz, thanks.
The Maxima is a cool car. Pretty good fun when you wanna haul some little cousins around. My dad also has a '95 5M/T - basic bolt-ons gives it 190fwhp.
The Quest is a trusty ol' thing. Actually, it's in the shop more than all of our other cars combined, but it's too special to trade in. Besides, with 181kmi on the odo and not an OE engine, trade-in value is a measely $1200. The Murano is a lot of SUV for not that much money. It's nice how Nissan can include their venerable VQ3.5 in a wide range of affordable cars. The Murano isn't for me, but it's definitely going to be a hit. It's also very attractive in that an engine swap with the 350Z won't be too difficult.
Before we put in the VG/TT in our Quest, my dad was considering trading it in for an Odyssey and dropping in the J-series engine from the TL Type-S. (Both the TL-S and Odyssey share the same block.) But he decided it's cheaper to do an engine swap with our current van; it's also much easier to get "cheap" power from a Nissan VG/TT than a J-Series Honda.
Anyway, good luck on the F4i, it's a great bike, I hear. All you need are some training wheels and you'll basically have an S2000! But seriously, ride safe, and I recommend taking a basic riding class.
