No, it comes with a Governator movie and a free prisoner (CA released a few to reduce costs).

I LOVE THIS STATE!

That's absurd.
Mine was like $1200. It's a percentage of your car's value in phoenix... It decreases like 19% a year but new cars will kill you on the registration

What is the statute of limitations on a camera ticket? In AZ it was 180 days - people would ignore the tickets and hide out from the process servers for 6 months to get out of paying them.

Also, afaik, red light = illegal to enter an intersection. Yellow light = red light soon.

Legal minimum is 3.5 second yellow at 35mph, 4 sec at 45 mph, if you want to time your lights or see if the yellow is too short. many municipalities will shorten yellows to generate tickets.

Sad fact is, just making yellow lights longer is cheaper and safer for everyone to implement, but doesn't generate $$$.

recently a few thousand tickets were thrown out in redwood city b/c a lawyer showed that a yellow light was below the minimum time limit.

Oh wait a minute, are you talking about the registration sticker which must be renewed annually or the registration process when you buy the car the first time and have to pay property taxes?

If it's annually, then it's like Virginia personal property tax on cars. I hope it isn't in addition to a property tax!

Screw that noise. In Texas we pay property taxes when we buy the car and then it's just an annual registration sticker renewal fee of like 50 bucks.

[QUOTE=thebig33tuna,Aug 20 2010, 09:17 AM] your understanding is incorrect.
