should I buy a S2000?
I have been considering a S2000 over my miata which is has a turbo @247hp.I've have heard the honda is slow @ lower hp,and is not as much fun to drive as the miata. On the plus side the S2000 has better seats, abs, head lamps, good breaks etc.
Can anyone give advise as to advantages of buying a honda????Never ran across a S2000 that was as fast as my miata but I like some aspects of the honda.Help with pros and cons

you definately have an s2000 beat in hp/weight...but i think the suspension is a bit tighter on the s2k and we have and LSD, don't miatas have open diffs?
miata is less expensive and you already have one...if you don't want to trade up then you could take that money and spend it on more upgrades.

The true test is to drive an S2000 for yourself. Then you can compare....
I test drove a Miata and an S2000. I much preferred the overall driving experience of the Honda...as you might expect. The S2000 cost more, but the permagrin I get after a drive is priceless.
Whatever you do...enjoy!

i owned and loved an M1 miata before my first S2K. My sister had her 1990 Miata for 11 years before selling it (with 160K trouble free miles) for a 1996. In other words, we've had good luck with and love Miatas.
That being said, the S is an entirely different class of car. Without a doubt if you're putting down that much power your Miata is going to be faster than an unmodificed S in a straight line. If that's what's most important to you, then stop here and keep your Miata.
However, there is absolutely no comparison between the two cars with respect to chassis rigidity, handling, and braking power. The S really is that much better.
The other thing to keep in mind, though, is this. With the Miata, I could comfortably use 80-90% of the car on public roads without being reckless. With the S, I can only use 60-70%. Anything more (unless you're an idiot) requires an autocross to track session.
