Shipping Cars
Hey guys, I might be shipping one or two cars across country and wanted to see if I missed any companies. I want to do it in an enclosed carrier.
So far I've gotten quotes from the following in order of highest to lowest cost ($1,800 - $1,600 per car).
Reliable
Horseless Carriage
PlyCar
Has anyone had experience with Montway? Is there any other carriers I should reach out to?

I used Direct Express Auto Transport, and they were cheaper and faster than Ready Logistics, who I cancelled when they had not picked up my car after a couple of days and I was in a hurry. Car arrived early and in good shape (I used an open carrier). The price was only $1,020 from Chicago to San Jose, CA despite ordering rush service - was only 6 days between ordering and receiving the car.

I shipped a s2000 from Vegas to an hour south of Atlanta. I used a broker, cost me $650 back in 2008? It was an open trailer and the truck went thru a storm on it's trip over. The car was fiiillthy and I had some blemishes on my hardtop that I didn't notice until after I washed the car.
I shipped another car from Nebraska to Vegas. I used an enclosed truck and it cost me $1600 from Elite Auto Shipping. The trailer they used looked a bit beat up, but the car came perfect.
I'd only ship on an open trailer again if I didn't care about the car.

Make sure you get a condition statement before the shipper leave with your car. Have the seller scan and send you it. Shippers will complete/alter the form after they load the car and imply any damage they did was already there.
