That's neat, but if you're looking at your shift knob while shifting you've got bigger things to worry about.

More about show than go - you should know what gear you're in by feel. It will probably help all those Z4 drivers though.

That's what I was thinking! You should always be looking at the road and if you forgot what gear you are on, then you're not paying attention to the road!
