Default Shell/Ferrari Commercial

I have to add I love this commercial.

I had a quick Q. When the driver of the car drives under the tunnel, it looks as if he pulled a lever. Is that the paddle shifter?
After the pulled it, it made the most beautiful sound in the whole wide world.

A shifter yes, but not a paddle. The gear shifter lever was mounted in that location back then.
If you can find a clip of Senna driving Monte Carlo you will see some of the most amazing driving and shifting ever seen, all while looking at a very nice vintage simple steering wheel with a nice Honda logo in the center.

Here, hope this works, the master at work.

You will see plenty of action in the cockpit in that same location.

Believe me, I get it. What I don't get is how anybody could not be a Ferrari fan, I mean a company with such a rich and magical history that has moved into the modern era and is not only winning on the world stage of F1, but they are bringing to the streets such beautiful creations as the new 599.

I've always had a deep love for ferraris.

As for the sound when he shifts, I think that much of the change is due to the metamorphosis of the car he's in to the modern f1 from the previous era car when he entered the tunnel.

It's interesting to hear how much higher-pitched the engine note gets with each successive generation of car. The S2000's redline likely rivals or exceeds that of old F1 cars, but today's F1 engines are threatening the 20000 rpm mark...
