Yeah, you see who can understeer for the longest distance.
That's actually the image that came to mind when I thought of it, but it sounds tough. It'd basically be who can get around the track fastest while wildly spinning the tires moving forward. But I just envision even the simplest, smallest-degree corner foiling every modded FWD on the planet at turn 1, and profuse replacement of tire barriers...

Here's to hoping the next big fad is to leave your non-sporty car stock, your sporty car cosmetically stock, and if you feel the need to race something, you do it on a track.

That's what I want for Christmas, Santa. If you are feeling extra generous, Santa, I'd like all carbon fiber hoods, nonfunctional aftermarket wings, and body kits to spontaneously burst into flames. If the body kit wasn't painted to match the rest of the car, the ensuing fire would also give the car's owner third degree burns on his Johnson.

One could also make the case for AWD drifting...A track race where you light up all four for the checkered flag.

It'd be another sport that goes only by two names: Subaru and Mitsubishi.

Don't worry. When F&F III comes out, the drifting fad will be back...with a vengeance.
you stole words out of my mouth.

_____________

I thought the whoe drift thing was dying out too, but the other day I saw something about a drift school. It died for me the day it started. If drifting was the best way to drive a car around a track, we'd see Lemans cars drifting around. No Thanks for me!

F&F AND drifting
Exactly. The automotive community has only seen the tip of the drifting sword thus far. After this June, its going to get to be a HUGE trend.

Glad I never jumped on that bandwagon to begin with. Though the RS*R drift S2000 is pretty damn sick.

Now there is a good way to capitalize on the drifting craze.
