infineon raceway was finishing construction at the time of that vid. What he hit is actually a huge styrafoam block that they put out to slow you down if you start spinning toward the concrete barriers. They work wonderfully, I've hit them before and it really cut my speed and saved some damage.

Not only does it look like he lifted, but the "rumble strip" really upset the tire grip. It also looks like he did not "get both feet in" very quickly.

he did do some damage...there's a thread about it. it was a while ago, right when sears opened up the new track. they had just finished a couple years of construction.
the rumble strips on the exit of 2 aren't that bad...the problem was he apexed too early and was turning too hard. he shoulda just dropped two wheels on the left and kept going.
