Wow, just out of curiosity, do you call yourself a car enthusiast? I'm not having a go, honestly, but I won't deny I expect the honest answer to be no. Of course it's a matter of taste, but that series of Ferraris were some of the most important, and most beautiful (still are today in my opinion) cars ever made, and must surely be part of any car enthusiasts perfect 10 car garage. People have woke up next to horseheads for less than what you said.

You know the 288GTO is a million dollar car, right?

i should probably stop this before it turns into a flame war... but yes i call myself a car enthusiast. i would love a ferrari of any year. i just prefer more modern flowing styling and am not a fan of the 80s look. as i said, to each his own

edit. looked up the 288gto. that car looks wayyyy better than the one you linked to. subtle changes make all the difference i guess.

This picture makes the car look like a cast model.

OK, fair enough, when you put it like that. I was just stunned when you called the 308 a styling fail.
I think a lot depends on whether you were alive and a car fan at the time the car came out. If you once loved a car based on the standards of the time, you'll continue to appreciate it as standards change, but if you weren't there from the get-go, then it's hard to appreciate styling in context. I like a lot of '80s cars because they were on the posters on my bedroom wall, but have a harder time "getting" older cars even if they're classics.

i'm a car enthusiast, it can be an ugly little hatch i always look at the lines of it and think about the potential
for the record my dream car is a 246 dino for a few reasons:
#1: the significance of being one of the first cars pininfarina ever put into the wind tunnel (i know it was the 206, but it's the same body styling)
#2 it is the first production ferrari with a mid rear set-up

and a few of you guys are probably asking why i was looking at an aston

me and my wife are talking about having another baby and since i have two boys already,if we do it'll brobably be another boy and she likes the name aston, and we agreed his first name will be aston and his middle name will be martin

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. No need to suppress your opinions on others.
