with the stats that i found (2800lbs+ and 170hp) i doubt it would be all that much fun to drive..... i think we are spoiled by S2000's and Evo's...

It does look good. I thought that the European OPEL thing (the one that weighs ~ 2000lbs) was coming here? they have a 220hp turbo engine in them now.

That's promising. If they give it's handling the attention they apparently gave the new Colbalt SS's (first magazine tests showed an extremely high skidpad number for a FWD and it was supposedly faster through the cones than the Z51 C6) I'd say it will be a fun little car, considering they shod a ~2800lb/170hp car with 245/45-18's all around it looks like they intend for it to stick to the road. It would definitely need some more beans under the hood though for me to be interested. While poking around on the saturn forums last night I saw where it was rumored a ~240hp SC version is due later.

Didn't the magazines say that these cars were going to be almost as wide and long as a C6 Corvette? I have high hopes for it but if it's that big...

Length
162.2 161.1

Height
50.0 49.8

Width

Almost a clone.

The car's numbers are competitive with its competitors', all of which are a ton of fun to drive:

Solstice: $20k, 2850 lbs. / 170 hp = 16.8 lbs./hp
Miata: $22k, 2447 lbs. / 142 hp = 17.2 lbs./hp
MR2 Spyder: $25k, 2195 lbs. / 138 hp = 15.9 lbs./hp
Mazdaspeed Miata: $26k, 2529 lbs. / 178 hp = 14.2 lbs.hp
