Default saturn sky - what kind of engine?

there is a picture of a saturn vue in my newspaper today. It looks pretty nice. Doesn't mention any power plants. They expect a $25k price.

Just curious if anyone knows.

And Mazda is introducing a bigger Miata soon - pretty soon the cheap convertible market will be full of choices...

That's a nice looking car. I guess there is always hope they will make an SS....er...."Redline" I suppose, version of it. Would be sweet with about 280hp to the wheels. I've not really read much about it, does anyone know if it's supposed to be a "driver's car" or is it aimed at the "look at my stylin' convertible" crowd?

Saturn is supposed to be going upmarket to replace Oldsmobile as a sporty car line. The new Saturn product looks promising, so I'd say the Sky will probably be very similar to the Pontiac - maybe detuned a bit and without some Solstice amenities, but a Redline version would be potent.

GM gave a number of magazines very early drives in Solstice prototypes, and the feedback was universally positive -- it's apparently shaping up to be a real driver's car. GM doesn't have a great track record, though, so I'm reluctant to count the handling chickens before they hatch.
