So, all in all, that is pretty comparable to the S2K.
I guess you could give a .1 second edge to the Sky, but I don't think the Solstice GXP/Sky Redline will be taking the top spots in A-Stock, though.
At $20K for the Solstice GXP (and I would assume a little more for the Sky) that puts it in the same MSRP territory as the S2K. But, I don't see these leaving the dealers at anything under MSRP+sucker tax.
The Sky does look nice, and the interior materials do seem to be well above those of the Solstice. I don't know how much suspension tuning is done to the hot versions besides stiffer springs and thicker roll bars, but I would imagine most of the development money went into the motor.
All in all, the S2K has some competition now.

.. that is if everything doesn't fall off the car first. But I'l keep my comments restrained ... I am sure the Solstice Forum guys are reading this already.

I haven't driven one yet. My memory of the reviews was that the basic handling was pretty good, but there was some complaint that there wasn't enough power to let the right foot help in the handling dept. The turbo may help that situation. It should be interesting. I wonder how long we'll have to wait for the Stage II and Stage III kits?

Huh, that's a pretty decent time, but I thought it would've been faster with the added torque. No matter, with a turbo, it's just a couple of mods away from being a low 13- high 12 second car.

GM already has a TON of factory support for race efforts with the Ecotec. This engine will definitely have factory and aftermarket support - and lots of it.
