have to drive both to see which is more fun. both cars in auto or dsg scream "speed appliance." the manual turbo would prob win.

ckit has a point, but his tastes are a bit "old fogey" imo. drvin a really nice fun car and a crappy beater lets you feel the contrast in life.

The DSG 911 TT is faster than one with a manual transmission.

I'd go with the GT-R because it seems more appealing then your typical P Car.

911TT auto is only faster in a straight line, not around a track. As far as I know....

It depends on how rare the GTR will be, that to me is a huge factor when spending money on a pleasure car. If it is rare like the turbo then I would probably pick it up, but if it is like a vette color me 911.

DSG is not currently available in any production Porsche. S/b coming around '08 or '09.

I'd take whichever I found more fun to drive. Not having driven either, I can only go off reviews, and at this point it sounds like I'd have more fun with the GT-R.
