The S2k's internals can obviously hold up to like 700whp..
I believe the Z's internals can hold between 400-500 reliably on 10-14psi.

And I sure as hell wouldn't mind a 450rwhp Z34 lol. Although a 450hp S would probably be faster and a little more reliable, I'd choose a 450hp Z34 over a 450hp S!

For 25k on a 2011? I'd go with 370. great looking cars and yes they are faster majority of time.

I had a dream last night that I owned a turbo'd S in the summer-time and it was the sweetest thing ever haha.
FI would be a little more expensive on the Z, obviously..
The stage 2 TT kit on Z1 is 8k+ and will get you to probably 550 (give or take) on 10-12psi, and on stock internals.

I owned a 370Z. I liked it, but not as much as my S. IMO it tries to be too many things at once but doesn't really excel at anything in particular.

It's a good compromise if you want a cross between a 5.0 and a S2000. Yes, I owned a 5.0 too.

I have a 370z (touring with sport) and I owned a s2000. I've driven both to work, both on the track, and everything in between.
The Z beats the S
steering feel(pneumatic power steering rack)
grip (mostly form much bigger stick tires)
Suspension travel
more luxury in the interior
engine
brakes (14" 4 piston front brakes)
transmission strength
interior space

The S beats the Z in
Clutch
Transmission feel
Better LSD differential
Economy
Weight, buy a lot
Gas tank design (Z suffers fuel starve at over 3/4 of a tank on track while the S can go down to almost empty)
Engine oil cooling (Z suffers from oil temp issues on track)

Which one is more fun to drive?

Best of luck to your choice!
Yep this seems to be the common consensus form driving enthusiast. My good friend who is sometimes on this forum owns both. He had a Ap2, then sold it after 5 years and moved and purchased a 370 auto trans for commuting, likes the added trq and nice car, but really started missing the fun of the S, so he picked up an ap1 and owns both. Its really difficult to have more fun in anything else, certainly for the price point. The S is like a motorcycle on 4 wheels with enough civility to be a DD, or a chassis that can be an all out capable race car with the right few mods that will take on anything at any price. Hard to beat that. The 370 is a nice sports car though, light years ahead of the 350 in performance and looks. I use to be a vintage Z owner and really enjoyed that car, it was my first real introduction to sport cars. If I were to get a 370 I would be sure and get the top level sport package or Nismo addition to get the hardest nose handler out of the line up. Its the only chance at keeping interested. Otherwise just pick up a G37 if your looking for a civil sport coupe you can commute in, because I think that car does that better then a 370.

Here are a couple deals I found on both cars, close to home..

Z - http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/3594100978.html
S - http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/ctd/3595955325.html

I just don't want to go silver.. regardless of which car I get. I think it's boring.
Same with yellow. I don't want a yellow car.. lol.

Black, blue, or white, are the colors I really want.

I was looking at this one really hard before I ended up buying another S2000: http://www.the370z.com/370z-sale/626...lean-fast.html

White or Black with the persimmon interior is an amazing combination.
