Lotus will begin selling the 2005 Elise in the USA soon. It has a 190 HP engine from the celica GT-S in it. Do you think the the Lotus will be faster and handle better then the S2000?

The S2000 has no chance.

the only place the S2000 **may** win would be acceleration from 100mph (or so) on up........ the extra 50hp will compensate for the weight...... i think the top speed of the S2000 is about 10mph higher than the Elise.

Maybe if they race around daytona the S2000 would win...eventually....

Yeah, you do have a point there. But under most circumstances I think we can safely say the Elise will school us pretty easily.

It will be faster. It's a more raw sports car for sure. Think of it as how an s2000 type r would perform.

Many people can't wait till it arrives. I can't wait till they start to mod it.

Isn't there a turbo kit out for the GT-S?

Just curious - didn't they consider using the B18C5 from the Integra Type R? What made them choose the Celica motor over the Integra's?
