I dont know too many people that owns Chevy Malibu but those who have they complain all the time. I had one rented few months ago , it was 04 with few thousand miles, all I can say what a crap ! Isn't Toyota Camery in the same category ? Entry Midsize Car ? or Honda Accord ? Simply don't get it !

 

well, they are in the same "category" but Chevy incentivizes the hell out of them to the tune of $5K. they price it like the Accord and Camry to make people think they are in the same class (and hope they don't test them).

That's just the way GM sells cars. Price them high to get the brand loyal nuts to bite at MSRP then sell the rest at MUCH lower prices. While no one has access to cost figures, I'd bet GM either breaks even or takes a loss (It's a small price to pay so they can sell those SUVs with $20K margins. They MUST sell the cars to keep FLEET MPG standards high enough).

 

i wouldnt take that list to seriously, most of the cars on that list suck!
