S2000 or Lotus Elise

The Lotus Elise, beats the S2000 in every aspect. Trust me, I wouldn't mind driving this sucker. But, as a daily commuter to work on freeway, local streets etc...I need a safer car. That's all I'm saying.
Shiet, if safety weren't an issue, why not drive a go-kart around? HAHA.

I didn't read all the post, but I will chime in. I have driven the new Elise (it was the German version, different motor) and it was a lot of fun. It is little and hard to get into, but it was fun after I was in. I am on the waiting list (number 1!!!) and should be getting it in April or May. haven't totally made up the mind whether I am going to keep it, but it is going to be a fun car. I think it will tear up the S2000 in autocross. I am worried about how small it is. I sold the S2000 about 6 months ago and now I have a Viper, so I might stick with it. If anyone is interested in getting one a Elise, PM me. I have number one and two reserved in my name. I might make a deal with someone.

i have s2000.
from what i heard that elise will be a better handling car than s2000.
the car will be smaller than a miata. it weights 1700 lbs. us about 1900 lbs. 190 hp is way enough for that little car. people who likes crazy style and no more 5 feet tall will probably get elise.
compare s2000 to elise, s2000 is way too lexury. i don't know how the us version will be like but i know for sure they did a lot of ex and int and safety issue on this car.
look wise i like s2000. very clean racy look for stock.
i don't know what elise looks like... haha a fly?

Links to videos of 177hp Elise and a Corvette at the N-ring. US version Elise, though heavier, will have 190hp.

Good Video. I am considering an Elise myself.
Although in this particular case the Elise didn't do so well against that vette...
It seems like the only time the Elise could gain ground was when there was traffic on the course. It was obvious the Elise is somewhat faster in the corners but the vette just killed it on the straights.
