Nice car, S2K03. That's a great color (my second choice) and the best year (since it's newer than the '02s). Wish I had the cash now...
Thanks! I really loved the car. It will make someone a great car.

Try to sell your MY2003 here. Many S enthusiasts want an AP1. Yours is the last AP1 year, and with such low milage, you might get a decent price from a knowledgable buyer. A BMW dealership is not going to know or care. They either take your car for low value and sell it themselves. Or they sell it to an auction company for little more than they got from you.

They gave me 22.5k for the car so they are not marking it up all that much.
actually that all depends upon how much you paid for the car they bought....they could in fact be making a considerable amount on the trade in because you paid more.

I bought one of their 05 Z4 3.0's for invoice. It has 6sp, Premium, Sport, xenons, and heated seats. The MSRP was over 47k, I paid just under 44k. They showed me their invoice sheet. They are trying to get rid of their last 05's so they can start their allocations of 06's. BMW is offering some deals on the remaining 05's. They made their money, that I am certain of, as well they should but I think I got a good deal for what I wanted. I will miss the S though. I believe the price they are asking is fair and I doubt your going to find an 03 with 14,266 miles on it that has never been abused at that price.

I took mine to the a local Honda dealer and they offered me $19K for my 2003 with 27,000 miles on the clock. What pissed me off was that they had an 01, same color on the lot and the asking price was $23,995.00 and it 30,000 miles on it. It's cool, I knew What I was getting into before I even got there.

edit: My payoff was $25K so I was in the hole $6K according to their math.

S2000 holds value pretty nicely in the Blue Book. It's the dealerships that offer dead-beat prices for your trade-ins. But that's how they negotiate.

[QUOTE=rai,Oct 10 2005, 05:34 AM] That's not too bad IMO.

I did not say I got the best price, just a fair deal for where I live. That ad is a sweet deal though.

That's true. Motor Werks BMW is in IL where the car market is very competitive (=nice deals).
