Default S2000, G35, or Evo VIII?

I currently have an infiniti g35 coupe. While it is a great car, it just doesn't fullfill my craving for driving excitement like the 00 s2000 I used to have.

The infiniti of course has an awesome interior, and a decent amount of performance. It is slower than s2000's. About the only things I would miss on the g35 would be the torque, the great interior, and how sexy it looks. It's also really easy to drift it.

Now the s2000 on the other hand is a convertible, is faster, and handles way better than the g35. Better gas mileage, but a much worse interior (but who really cares about interiors?)

And finally the evo viii. A 2003 red evo viii just showed up at the local carmax. I'm most likely going to test drive it tomorrow. I always liked the evo viii because they're fast, handle well, and all wheel drive. But, it is 4 doors, and has this ridiculous wing on it, and the rear end looks pretty bland and ricey (clear tailights, bleh).

So what to do?! Give up the nice interior and great looks for a 4 door car on steroids, or for a quick and agile s2k? In the end both cars' monthly payment will be alot lower than the g's, but the insurance may go up.....

Argh, I guess I'll have to see after the test drive.

I'm also looking for those of you who traded their s2k for an evo, just wanna see if you wound up liking the change, and if you missed your s2k at all.

Thanks.

i'd go with evo, as soon as I can sell my S im headed straight for the IX.

but it really depends on what you want. I am going evo for AWD, more room, and ease of moddability.

I'm sure you already did your research about the pros and cons for each car, and all the headaches that may accompany each car? Reasons I went with the s2k:
- get the convertible phase over with at a young age
- The s2k can be purchased below invoice (at least in CA)
- Car is long in the teeth, so all the kinks has been worked out (besides for that rear bumper panel thing)
- 2 door, 2 seater (don't want to lug around 4-5 people)
- then again, i'll be dumping the s2k in a year or two, even though my car is half a year old

You could always get a Solstice GXP if you want the roadster and the torque.

I traded the 04 S2k for An 04 EVO then to 06 325i and back to 05 S2k. I traded the S cause i didn't like the idea of storing it 1/3 of the year and to top that i was itching for what the EVO can do. At first the EVO looked pretty attractive and with performance to go with it i couldnt say no specially with the deal i got. My EVO had the SSL package which made the interior much better. But after awhile i kinda gotten tired of the power and moreso of how the exterior looked. Had the EVO for about 5 months and the 325i for even shorter time. I got sick (jealous) of looking at every S2k on every meets that i of how and why i even gotten away from it.

The wing can be taken off in about 20 min. and the rear taillights can be blacked out to eliminate the ricer look, btw.

I like all 3, thought about all 3, drove all 3, bought an S. Hands-down easy choice for what I was looking for. EVO wasn't even considered after driving it, but I did love the G35. At this point in my life I was just looking for a raw sports car to have a blast with.
