I came back yesterday. 2 years ago I sold my 03 S and bought a Q45.
No offense but a Q45 is not an M3...I wouldn't have made it 2 mins in a Q45 let alone 2 years. The E36 M3 is a great car and there's strong aftermarket support for them if u have the pockets for it. Estoril Blue E36 M3's are one of the best looking cars around...STILL.

It's not like the Q45 is a bad car. Drop some IRL cams in there, swap out the auto for a 6 speed and have fun blasting to 7500 in every gear. ^__^

In my opinion, the E36 has always looked like a modified Toyota Tercel for some reason.
And the S2000 looks like a modified Miata for some reason.

The front of an s2000 looks like an Chrysler Sebring from a distance. I mistake them all the time.

Estoril is aight. Le Mans Blue is the greatest BMW color EVER.

I'm not sure I could trade my S for a E36 M3 though. I havent driven one so my opinion is pretty useless.

Yes, it kind of does...and just like the E36 looking like a Tercel, in my opinion, of course.

I won't sell the S for an E36 M3....perhaps an E46. The E36 is nice and I would consider it as a second car but you're considering jumping into a car that is > 10 years old VS a 2 yr old car....thats a no brainer for me. The warranty and reliability alone would sway me towards the S(not saying that E36 unreliable....its just older).

However, I've been contemplating trading my S for a E46 M3 but looking at the maintenance cost ($1200 for service I and $1500 for Service II), no thanks. I figure you could save money by doing most of the services yourself but wth does the E46 M3 require a valve adjustment every 15k-20k miles?
