i keep reading that boxsters are heavily discounted now. I saw a mag article about it, and keep reading it on this site. But, does anybody have #'s to support that. i would gladly buy a boxsterS w/ leather for $50k, but not for $60k.

If I was configuring one, I'd get HID lights, sport suspension, sport seats, and the PSM electronic stability control, probably post discount but pre-tax ~$52K.

I think you will be hard pressed to find an S with what you want in it for $52k. Then of course I am in New England and we want heated seats for the spring and fall driving.
Also they upgraded the Stereo for 03 and you'll probably want that as well. Then add 18" wheels...
I looked and it was $57-58k for the bare minimum of what I wanted with a discount. That was without Sport Seats.
I had a used 01 S on hold for $43k but chickened out when I started thinking about the service $'s.

If you are going to forgo all of the niceties with a Boxster S then just get the S2000. For me, the only reason I considered the Boxster S was if I had to have all of the extra's.
I chose the S2000 and will be adding Heated Seats shortly.

I would pick the s2000 first because who dont have a boxter I see them every where and I live in ing kentucky thats pittiful I just love s2000 because u dont see them as much as the boxter and there more fun to play around with. I just love how the s2000 revs up to 9000rpm its just amazing. I love it.
