S2000 Alternative Options

After driving my S tonight.... And recently picking up the Viper, there are no alternatives to the S2000. Once the car warms up and I get my ZII's up to temps, it's a like driving a go kart.
There was a reason why I didn't sell the S, there is no substitute.
Maybe you can say the cayman/Boxster, but they are not in the S2000 price range. Hard to compare a 50k lightly used P car to a 15-25k S2000

I have only driven S2000 for about a year now but I got into an accident few month ago that made me consider if I have to change a car if it was going to be a total loss..
Well, with around 20k or under, there is no alternative to S2000 with performance/cost ratio wise. Only car you can get with similar attribute(light, handling oriented) to S2000 with that price range would be BRZ/FRS, Miata, old Boxter (05 or older), old Z4... there are few more depending on which you focus more.
Problem is that other cars that is worth comparing will be much older in its age with much less reliability and higher repair cost (ie. boxter) that makes the car less appealing. BRZ/FRS and Miata will be only car worth comparing with cost/repair wise but performance is lower tier from that of S2000.
Ultimately I did not total my S2000 but if I did, I decided that I would need to buy another S2000. I concluded that there are no alternative to S2000 without sacrificing something.

I have a 2007 350z hr coupe and a 2008 S2000 with a hardtop at the moment. Complete opposites and to be honest I'm not keen on the 350z when directly compared to the S2000, however if you want comfort for cruising with power, speed and decent handling (considering the weight) go for a test drive
I bought the 350z after selling my first S2000 but after 3 months I knew I wanted another S2000 so bought another one, just need to sell the 350z now.
Ultimately everyone likes different things so there is no perfect answer from any of us
