theres nothing you can look for when u buy it, take it to a shop and get compression tests done on it and other stuff
the only reason why the rx-7 got a wrap for being unreliable is befcause when it first came out people did all the mods to it without doing the essential Reliability Mods. read up on it at the rx7club.com i had a 93 vintage red touring edition beautiful car.

I have both cars....I regretfully sold my '93 RX7 a few days ago b/c i'm moving in the city and there's just no parking. All I got to say is, it would be the S2000 if not for the fact that the S2000 is leased. I fully agree with ttb. My RX7 was taken care of by me, the only problems I had with being "unreliable" was normal failures...battery, etc. True, if you don't take care of it....the RX7 will become unreliable, hey it's not a honda, but with TLC, the RX7 is the most awesome car I've been in. Slightly modded, it is faster than almost any stock car out there (ran a 11.7 with nice bolt-on mods on a cool night).
