Default Rusted out wrecks

Here is a web site that I found that should make us feel good that our cars are running.

Everybody should get a chuckle from this site.

Except a lot of those car would go 3-4x times the value of an S2000 if/when restored. Depreciation doesn't hurt muscle cars.

Shame to see those superbirds like that. Saw an auto auction the other day on TV (Mecum I think) where a superbird went for around ~100K

Well the people I know who have rotting muscle cars, one is a original lime green mopar convert I think maybe a Road Runner? and the other is some rare model Challenger or something have this dream of restoring them "When they have the money." They have had them for seriously long periods of time, and availible restoration parts become more and more scarce. More and more expensive. And their own financial situation NEVER improves.

I understand it is their dream, I just wish these two particular people would figure out it is a pipe dream because they could get some nice money to help out their families and allow an old car to be restored, or they can have them rot in the garage.

One of the people I know, his wife is the bread winner and he has been unemployed for 10+ years (he does not even look for work just sponges off his wife) while she pulls double shifts and he has a rusting hulk. This guy will NEVER get a job and have the money to fix up the car. He could never even get the money to put tires on it.
