The S2k will feel faster due to being pushed by the Rwd and not pulled as is the case in the Rsx. I also owned the 04 acura TL and that thing made the s2k feel slow. The feeling of acceleration relative to actual acceleration is tricky. For sure that the rsx rev's quicker though.

I had an '02 RSX S and now I have an '05. There are some nice improvements on the '05/'06 model. The car is deceptively quick. All I've done to it is changed the intake. The S feels faster but I think one reason is that the S is so much more dramatic, especially in the sound department, and or course, the rwd. Honda did a great job with the RSX. It always "wants" to go faster. The I-Vtec is very smooth right to redline. I'm lucky to have them both. They're both fun rides!

frank b we are in the same shoes. Mighty fine rides I agree.
Ludegar I want to race an 06 si and see how it will do against my 06 rsx. I would of already, but I have only seen two here in miami and girls were driving them to work.

someone posted doing several runs that were neck and neck... win one, lose one... i think the Si was green and the RSX-S may have had CAI. i have yet to see another Si. but i've only seen about three RSX-S too, i see base models rather frequently. i've also seen more women pushing the brand new S2000's. notice all of the older cars are usually driven by guys both young and old.

The RSX-S is a great car for its purpose/design. It is not unusual for their K20 engines to produce 230-245whp, 160-170wtq with a few grand in bolt-ons and good tuning. They can easily be pushed to 8600-8800 relatively stock and several have reached 13-14k rpms "reliably" by shops. I have done a lot of work on my roomates RSX-S. He is in the mid 14's on street tires with full bolt-ons and no tuning, stock redline etc. With hondata or K-pro he should be 14 flat or better.
I really wish it was a little easier to produce 280-290 bhp in the F20 to compete. However, it is not a fair competition because the K20's potential was suffocated whereas the s2k's was pushed to near the max in stock form. You can gain 15-18whp from a header on a k20, that alone with the drivetrain loss difference produces F20 numbers.

The F-series is only lacking VTC, that's it... We really should have received this in 2004. that's the only issue. The stock head will flow 300hp NA, no problem. on the + side, this leaves a smidget of hope for a new model.
