I sent an email to R&T basically caomplaining about the tire differences, and the fact the article didn't mention such. I got a predictable, albeit personal, response from the editor stating the cars were tested as delivered, downplaying the contribution of the tires in the results. At least they did provide tire info for the cars, instead of making us guess and assume, I suppose.

The Europeans always get stuff we don't get. They get launch control on their Ferraris & BMW M cars, and we don't

I guess they can get race rubber if they want too.

Exactly. At a $200k pricetag I wouldn't want it any other way. Each car at the test had a stock set of tires. You get what you pay for. I guess if one can afford an F430, one can also afford the high maintenance cost and a new set of tires at each oil change interval.
