GT-R held it's own. The new Lambo LP560-4 is a beast.

Based on that article it really sounds like GM needs t spend more time on the tire-damper-spring rate* part of the Z06.
*Before anyone says it, no the leaf springs are not the problem. The wrong spring rate might be but not the actual use of a leaf spring.

Case in point? GM had three different shock damper settings on the C5 Z06 throughout it's four year cycle. The only year that didn't see a damper adjustment was the 2002-2003 year. 2004 Nurburgring tuned shocks improve the Z06's handling quite a bit. Nissan spent about 7 years at Nurburgring (since 2001) fine honing the GT-R, along with various race tracks around the world (Laguna Seca, Sears Point, Goodwood festival of speed). By comparison GM spent just 2 weeks at the Ring with the Z06 for final adjustments.

Dodge Viper ACR FTMFW.
Honestly, all this talk about the z06 / GTR being bang for the bucks yet no one has actually mentioned the ACR. Under 100k and fast as crap!
Dream car for sure!

Not too sure about it's everyday usability.

ACR is really a monster, but I wouldn't be able to drive it everyday. GTR however is a different story. But one thing that surprised me was the not so good performance of GT2. If Porsche's top of the line race version can't beat standard GTR, what would it do when the V-Spec comes out?
