Returning A Car
I recently bought a M3 conv. to add to the stable a week ago. Today the car short circuited and turned off totally while i was driving. I opened the batteryin the trunk to see the main power cable melted and smoking. Is there anything i can do to return this car? Get a new one? This is a week old with 500 miles on it.

There is a national law it's called the right to recend. Basically it's a cooling off period after a contract is signed. However, in most cases you usually only have 3 days to recend a contract. BMW should replace it or fix the car it should be under some warranty if it's new. If it's brand new it will fall under bumber to bumber

BMW e46 m3 convertibles has a ton of electrical problems.
Faulty tire sensors
Faulty battery
Top breaks in under 2000 miles
Windows stop going up and down
(these are some of the things my local M3 buddies had happen like clockwork)
Try your hardest to get rid of it, and get a new one (pref the coupe)

i remember my parents bought an Acura TL in 2000 and returned 2 days later because there was a defect with the trunk. They got a brand new one about 2 months later. Just bitch hard if they don't respond to reasonable requests.
