In some recent issue of EVO or CAR, they said that they did 217 mph on three separate occations with their test GT but that Ford will officially say 205. It looks soooo beautiful and is the only Ford I have lusted over, except of course, the GT40. Sure, the SC engine takes away some of the appeal (for me), but it is one incredible machine, especially for the price.

Is this an old story. I saw a Ford GT white with blue strips in my local speed shops parking lot. This was about two months ago. Looked like it was being trailored to the race track. It was new but definetly driven and there was a spare set of tires and rims on the trailor? HMMMMMM.....interesting.

"The car, delivered to Shirley at Bowen Scarff Ford in Kent"

read the article - see the new ford focus in the background of the second pic. He is picking up the car at the Ford dealership. The other older cars you see are probably in the employee parking lot.

I don't find the GT very aesthetically appealing for some reason. I just don't dig it.

That Shirley lives in Medina, WA, the richest town/city in WA; only the super-rich live there.

FYI - Symbolic Motors in La Jolla, CA has an original GT40 for only $3 million... Interesting fact is that the GT40 got part of its name because it is only 40 inches high (or low)...
I love driving past that place very sloooooowly and dreaming.
