I like the RDX but decided to go with a Mazda.

For about 31k we picked up a fully loaded Mazda CX-7. Two tone leather, voice-navi, rear back up camera, keyless ignition, AWD, Xenon, proven mazdaspeed6 turbo.

What did I give up over the RDX? The more advanced SHAWD drivetrain is the one main thing I can think of.

IMO the Mazda is a really good looking small-ute with some style while the RDX is a bit bland.

For the 7k+ difference the mazda was a no brainer.
You gave up a much nicer interior, better build quality, longer warranty (I think), better navigation system, better sound system, and probably better resale.

You did save $7K, and that's probably what I'd have done too.

The MPG ratings on this turbocharged 4 sucks. I mean with gas where it is and in the future...anything that has a teen city MPG rating is just trash IMHO, unless it does 0-60 in less than 4.5 secons If they are going to use this engine in the TSX coupe then they can have it.

i think a rav4 might be a better deal. you get a 3.5 269hp engine that gets lik 28-29mpg. not sure about the luxuries.

RAV4 interior is nowhere near the RDX. Probably isn't as sporty, but definitely should be as quick.
