hmmm. Cool...Don't think i've seen an evo without a wing. Wonder how they look. I love the look of the wrx with no wing so I am sure the sti without a wing would look cool.

Thanks fellas for the replys.

I've seen so many threads comparing the evo to the sti....I think it really just comes down to personal preference.

So no serious heat issues, other than the fact that they do get hot under the hood because of the layout of the engine? I guess it would have detrimental affects, such as the car running slower during these times.

I assume it is times like this that the I/C manual spray is used? Does it really help noticeably or do you think it is more a gimic (ie. very minimal effectiveness)?

For those with STI's, how often do you use the spray? Before or after races? Possibly before shutdown, to help if you don't have a turbo timer?

No overheating for my STi either, and I never heard anybody's STi overheat as well. You don't really need a turbo timer on the STi, there's a coolant line that goes into the turbo and will continue to flow for about 1 minute after shutdown. I just got an alarm with a turbo timer, and I only use it if I beat the crap out of it.

evo rs comes w/o wing.
i rarely see evos w/o wing.
inho, car looks horrible w/o it. i'll take raceboy looks over econobox anyday.
maybe if you're interested in having a sleeper.

I just ran a Z06 and a RX8 yesterday, the temp said it was 94 outside... went from 50-135.. temp guage never moved.

In case you are wondering.. the Z06 was pulling on me a little (DUH) and the RX8... well.. it was funny...

Sweet, thanks for the information.

Do any of you use the manual I/C spray? If so, under what circumstances? Before to cool off the engine or after?

I only use it on hotter days after I have been driving a while and want to punch it a bit. Its purpose is to cool the air gong into the engine so really, you should do it when you want to punch it a bit.
