I think I should just turn my checkbook over to Poindexter and let him order for me:

Barry, I'll take care of you when that time comes

If someone wants to jump on one of our 2006 Cayman S's, I can definitely hook someone up close to invoice - we have to do it this month while we've got a Turbo gross to make up the difference.

Here's our current Cayman Inventory: http://checkered-flag.porschedealer.com/ne....php?model=987c it should update with a few more cars (all 2007's) soon.

Wait... a base Cayman comes w/ halogen headlights?? With cars that start under $20,000 having an option for HIDs shouldn't a car that starts around $50,000 come with them standard??
Welcome to Porsche. It's kind of amazing you get two seats and a steering wheel.

They used to charge $700+ for lights in the footwell.

Most profitable car company on earth, and this is why.

As some of you already know, I'm in with the Caymen. The price is HARD for me to swallow; otherwise, there would be one on order. I've tested both the base w/6-speed and the S w/Tiptronic. I honestly have no idea what other options were on the cars. The salesman did turn on the radio in one of them but who cares - at least I didn't. Is the car worth $50-60K? All I know is I can't stop thinking about it. There is no doubt at all that it's my next sports car. The only question is when. I am looking for a base Caymen in black/tan with Tiptronic and floor mats, out the door for say $1k over invoice. I can be patient, afterall, I have a fine ride to hold me over till my Caymen comes in - no matter what state or dealership.

PS- I was talking to our local Porsche salesman today and he said he just wrote up a $88k Caymen order!! The person order everything under the sun - ceramic brakes and ceramic interior stuff alone added $16k. Dang, I sure hope that dude regularly tracks the car.

I just got a ride in the MOM Cayman S 3.8 last weekend. MOM=Mind Over Motorsports.

It uses the X51 packaged 3.8L from the Carrera S packing 385hp.

Wow man, the car is a stunning performer. Truly impressive what changing the motor will do to the car. It also has the 997 GT3 front end which makes it look HOT!

This car is truly an impressive car.
