The previous-generation Civic SI hatch...

i recently purchased a 92 5th gen civic-vx:
i wanted a getto daily drivcer w/ great gas milage. the vx is optimal here. since it is a light (<2000lbs) and stiff frame and you can adapt it to a few larger honda engines, theft might be a problem.
i re painted the body and located a set of oem vx 13" rims to complete its original look. if gas prices remain high long enough manufacturers will push out the last remaining suv's from their new product development and you will start to see these small cars avaliabe again.
it is not hard to like the car for what it is. the body and interror are in great shape and are along the lines of more modern cars. i kinda like to drive it. $24 fills the tank.
i would consider any honda civic as dependable as the day it was made.

I dunno. One of my good friends has an 03, and while cool (the seats are on par with ours), it just doesn't do it for me. What's worse, the new Civics are, IMO, way more appealing both aesthetically and financially. I'd have a hard time buying one over a newer Civic.

The '04 hatchback Si's were awesome cars. Handled very well, had amazing seats and had loads of space. It's a pity they didn't sell better.
