WEIGHT is the enemy. That extra weight comes in the form of safety equipment on today's cars.

The front looks like it took a step back. It looks very Kia to me. :-(

Because it will be crushed flat the minute it hits a modern vehicle, you will have your body impaled by multiple steel cross braces, and you and your passenger will become one (in the non-sexual sense).

Those cars were anything but peppy on the highway but they were great around town. They had zero power to match roughly 2000 lbs of weight. That favors slow, stop-and-go driving and relatively moderate speeds.

A modern Civic Sedan will get nearly the same gas mileage on the highway while carrying three more passengers in a lot more comfort and safety. I can personally attest to 42.7 mpg in my wife's 2008 Civic Sedan (with three people with me in the car) travelling at 70+ mph on the interstate for 2.5 hours.

A Civic Hybrid, new Honda Insight, or Toyota Prius will match or beat the CRX around town and on the highway, there are a number of vehicles that are capable of 50+ mpg if driven properly (including some diesels, the aforementioned hybrids, and the old Insight, which was roughly the size and weight of the CRX but got 70+ mpg on the highway).

i personally think they did a great job on this

Honda Odyssey
Honda Crosstour - up for debate
Honda CR-Z - everything is great but the milage

There NOT doing that bad... you try designing a car that everyone loves... not going to happen. Keep an open mind.

I think it looks pretty damn good for a minivan. I like the CR-Z too.

The crosstour is horrid though

First off, if we were face to face...you wouldn't tell me "Get your eyes checked..." So don't try your interweb thuggery here...
Are you blind? If so, then pardon my insensitivity. And you're right, I'd never make fun of the blind to their face. But otherwise yeah, I'd ask if you were blind if you made a statement like that and you were standing in front of me. You seem to infer that I would be intimidated by your manliness cause yer a manly man, a man's man. I wouldn't. Or maybe you're inferring that them's fightin words. Not to me. If you're not blind not, then why did you post a child's drawing and proceed to use that as a basis for commenting on a concept design you hadn't even seen photos of I can think of a reason but it's even less flattering than poor eyesight.

And you'll have to forgive me. I haven't been following your epic thread every day since inception. I had no way of knowing you started out with crayola concept art and added pictures later. When I found your initial post it was showing the concept photos and asserting that the front overhang was horrible. It isn't. Hence my assumption that you may not be seeing the same thing I am.
