It's fast. It handles. It's a Porsche. Then you get out of the driver seat and have to come to the realization that it looks like the 911 that got knocked up. The Estoque concept or the Quattraporte however, are exquisite examples of beautiful 4 door sports sedans. Seems like another case of marketing researchers and accountants designing cars rather than leaving it to the people that are truly passionate about it. IBTL

I'm saying that accountants and people who pay attention to statistical data of what might produce a marketable car designed it rather, than someone who is passionate about the automobile. For example the Pontiac Aztek, statistically it was supposed to be one of the best selling cars ever. It turned out to be a total flop. I am not implying by any means that the car is a technological marvel, with a outstanding chassis, and excellent power. I'm just saying that I personally (and many people that would consider something that performs like it does), would love the way it performed and handled but, unfortunately, the pleasure derived driving the car would be overshadowed by the aesthetics.

Porsche has never been able to grasp "beautiful". Every car they've ever made has been just plain odd with the possible exception of the Cayman.
911? Odd for 35 years.
Boxster? Odd.
Cayman? Stylists screwed up. This one looks great.
914? Odd.
928? Odd.
944? Well, actually sort of mainstream for its time.
Cayenne? Really odd.
Panamera? Surprise, odd again.
Consummate engineering and clueless styling are the hallmark of Porsche design.

It has ''Porsche'' written on the back because buyers will want fellow drivers to notice that they have the latest hottest new toy from Stuttgart since it doesn't look like a classical Porsche.
Pretty lame if you ask me.
Yes it's ugly but the thing that bothers me the most is the asking price. How is this car more expensive to build than a 911?

And every guy-girl I know goes ''wow that's a beautiful car'' when they see a 911-Boxster-Cayman...

I'll disagree with you on the 911, but I'm a little biased towards the wide bodied versions. The narrow is just a little....odd.

Cayman is a cool car, just short on power like the NSX.
