Porsche Envy
It's a personality disorder soon to be added to the DSM.
Anyone got it?

Not at this phase of my life or finances. Maybe in 10 years and a tax bracket higher.
Now bmw 3 series envy is something I'm developing for a daily driver. I've been dreaming hard about a nice cpo 328i.

I'm 65. It's now, or never.

I was originally shopping a 2016 Spyder or a Boxster GTS last year... both lovely machines.
The S2k is a different animal though and just as special in it's own right. The reality is that you could buy 4 S2k's for 1 of the P-cars I was looking at.
If you're talking about the older gen boxsters that the S2k originally competed against then absolutely no envy - I'd have the S2k over an older boxster any day.
My criteria was rear drive, mid-engine, MT, visceral, pure engaging driving experience. I also considered Lotus.
Honda did such a good job with the driving dynamics of this car though, it's becoming a collectors car, I feel proud driving it so it was hard to pass up. Would I get more pleasure out of a 100k P-Car? Probably not with what I was looking for.
I also already have a high HP german vehicle in the garage.
I would not replace it for a P-car but I'd gladly add one to the stable down the road when I have the space.

Those 1st gen boxsters have aged very poorly in my opinion. Also, they are somehow more tiny inside than the Honda.

Oh, I don't suffer from the disorder. I was just wondering if any of you guys do.
I did notice one yesterday, parked where I work. I'm still thinking about it, which is one of the classic early symptoms. And, I am much more acutely aware in recent years how short life is. I know nothing about them. That, and the $ involved, are good reasons for me to stay away. But, still...

I suffer from said disease, 2008 s2k , 2015 STI whitch i daily & my 95 Del Sol , but there's something about that boxer grumble that i love. But nothing compares to my S2000, hands down my favorite.

Add me to the list. I'd love to own a Cayman S. I ride with my uncle in law on the track and its just so smooth, fast, etc..The sound the engine makes is like music to me. Then I picture the engine failing and replacement cost being as much as an S2000 or remember the time he purchased new tires, rotors, and brakes during an event and it cost $3K.
One day, after the kids have graduated college if petrol cars are still legal I'll own one for sure.
