I don't get it... dude posts a pic of a Genesis coupe with Porsche badges on it and everyone goes crazy?

Not a big fan, though the idea is in the right direction... just my 2 cents

Porsche has done enough oversized/overwrought/overweight cars. Their next effort shoulc be something more in the Lotus Elise/Exige vein.

Porsche *used* to be about doing MORE with LESS. They need to return to the ideals of minimalism, light weight, and simplicity. IMO...

Nah, they need a smaller, lighterweight platform. Even this "lightweight" 911 is over 3000 lb.

They need a model that's closer to the Elise/Exige in weight than it is to a Corvette.

A model that doesn't NEED 450hp and 19" wheels (or a $132k price) to be serious FUN.

Wow, I doubt we'll ever see it in the flesh, but it sure looks great.

I would hate this as a Porsche. It really looks like they graphed the nose of a 911 onto a Jag. The tail is so distinctly Jag/English coupe that all this would do is prove Porsche can't figure out how to style something that doesn't look like a 911.

I can't blame Porsche for making this car given they have the sedan. However, if I wanted something that looks like an Aston or Jag I will buy an Aston or Jag. The old 924/944/968 cars and the 928 didn't look like a derivative of something else. This does and because of that I think it's a big letdown.

Not saying I don't like it, it just looks way too much like an AM.

So are you suggesting that it's OK for Jaguar to borrow Aston's styling cues, but not Porsche?

IMO, the Jag is a pretty blatant AM ripoff, just not as well done.
