Porsche 911 GT2 spotted in the wild
"Easily recognizable by the missing fog-lights in the front bumper (as compared to the 911 Turbo), and the huge rear wing, as well as a simpler front spoiler-lip - this car is the 997-based Porsche 911 GT2!

No -- the GT2 and GT3 are philosophically similar, but the GT3 has a normally aspirated engine while the GT2 has a higher output turbocharged unit.
I have always held a preference for the GT2. The price is typically much, much higher than the GT3 though.

I'm sure the GT3 is great, but in a perfect world the GT2 would be my personal choice.

The lower the number on your specialty 911, the higher the price, and the greater the exclusivity. Of course, there hasn't been a GT1 in years for race or for sale, but if there was, that'd be the top dog.
