I'll try 6speedonline right now. And what is CPO?? I know on the quote he gave me, it says body type CPE. Maybe tomorrow or Monday I'm buying the car.

Certified Pre-Owned. I think it might come with an extended warranty too.

80-85 is not at all a bad deal for a mint 04. Especially if it is the exact car youre looking for, color and option wise. Is it an X50?
Get the car ppi'd if it hasnt been already, that's a pre purchase inspection from porsche. If it comes out clean and meets their requirements, for an extra couple grand they will certify your car and that gives you another 2 years and 100k warranty. The original warranty is good for 4 years. For a couple grand, it's well worth the peace of mind, that is unless youre going to mod the heck out of it... in which case a warranty probably wont help you all that much.
Enjoy the car, it's awesome you'll love it!

btw, yeah 6speed is an awesome resource and if you have any questions i'd be glad to try and answer them for you.

I bought a 2001 996 Turbo with 20K miles and with the CPO.

So far I LOVE it. I have mods planed in the future, but even as it is I really enjoy the car. Here is a pic:

You should def come on over to 6speedonline

Before you buy get a thorough PPI. There are two major issues: check the Type II overrevs and check for 2nd gear pop out issues

Don't think I will be getting the extra warranty, because we don't have a porsche dealership back home "Curacao". And mods will probably be an option, bringing it maybe in the 500hp range or 550.. in the future. Color is what I want for sure, interior too, even the wheels are to my taste, perhaps a change in the future. The back tires of the car are in good conditions, but he said he will change them for some brand new ones. I'll check now if I can post at 6speedonline, I registered last night, but didn't have permission to open a new thread.

Btw thx for your help guys.

Another thing he told me, the previous owner of this car was of the guys of the "bacardi" family, traded it in to get a gallardo.

Maybe you could become obsessed with that, like the Seinfeld thing with John Voight.

Good luck with the car! Envious!

hahah guess I won't

Btw I still can't post on 6speedonline,

chucky0431, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Any of you guys that registered for the first time, ever had this problem?

Porsche site, so it's probably an electrical problem.

Kidding!

Maybe they just take longer, since there's probably less activity than on a forum like s2ki?
