You're going to spend $10K-$15K on a new car (assuming you trade in your current one for $20K) to keep from POTENTIALLY spending money on repairs to your three year old car. It's going to take a LOT of repairs to add up to $10K in repairs.
Keep your current car. It makes way more sense. If you're still worried, get a BMW extended warranty on it.

I used to have an e90 330 too. It was a great car, i was just a little pissed about the 335 coming out the year after, so i got someone to take over that lease.
If you insist on getting something new, in the price range you are looking at, I think you would have a hard time finding something that will have the same feel. I haven't driven an IS for a while but from what i remember it didn't do it for me. Also, no manual transmission on the IS350.
You may want to take a look at the CTS though; it's surprisingly good. You may be able to get the price down to your price range.

It doesn't matter what your opinion is or mine is, it's dumb to assume about someone when you don't know anything about the person. It's even more dumb when you judge another person and tell them not to judge you.
The mass understands my spelling, thus you must be living in the jungle to be all worked up about my spelling. My saying about the 330hp is just an example of what normal people look at when they look at G37.

Bare with me while I put my old man hat on for a moment:
I have always been intrigued by the folks that feel they are somehow required to now sell their paid off car because the warranty is about to expire.
Based on some of your responses it doesn't sound like you are the type to go out and put a hurtin on your car at every stop light so most repair work would probably be mainly general maintenance related verses catastrophic failure as long as you stick to the normal service intervals.
I can think of far worse cars to be stuck with for the long term besides a paid off 330 that's for sure. I say ride it until it's tits fall off and save all that extra would be new car payment money to pay down your mortgage or something.
Of course this is just my opinion, but I would rather be stuck in your 330 then my pickup truck that's for sure....

Makes no sense to sell your paid for car to get another car. You'll end up spending way more in the long run.
I don't think your straight six engine will blow up all of a sudden because your warranty expired...
Things like bushings, brake pads and tires aern't the end of the world.
Don't kid yourself, you just want to change cause you're bored with your car. I understand, since I've changed so many times in a span of 3 years...
Get a 2006 M3 with less than 15K miles and extended CPO warranty. Nothing with backseats will corner flatter or be more fun to drive.
