You're going to spend $10K-$15K on a new car (assuming you trade in your current one for $20K) to keep from POTENTIALLY spending money on repairs to your three year old car. It's going to take a LOT of repairs to add up to $10K in repairs.
Keep your current car. It makes way more sense. If you're still worried, get a BMW extended warranty on it.

I'd just keep it, taxes/title on a newer car alone would basically be the money youd have to replace anything with if it ever does happen on a 50k mile bmw
