stick with the 330. I have one and its a dead reliable car and you don't have to worry about payments for a while if you had it for long. I have driven a lot of the cars and the 330 felt the best to me
yah, thats an option too. I actually love the 330 (manual transmission). Its all paid for too.

i'm just scared that the car will just fail since the warranty expired at 50k miles.

IS350 or WRX.... maybe a G35. Everything else is just a step down and the only reason to step down is to save money which you won't do going from a three year old to brand new car except for something like a Fit.

I'd probably keep the 330i (since it's paid for), but if not, your only choice, IMHO, is an '09 G37 sedan with 6MT. With the premium package, which includes everything you'll likely need, the car stickers for $37K, so I am sure you can get it within your $35K budget. They're great cars and an appreciable upgrade over the G35s in all areas, not just power (better gearbox, better brakes, tighter suspension, etc.). I'd need to drive a 330i again, but I'd say the G37 is more sporting and fun to drive. Go drive one.

^ Ditto on that. I had the opportunity to drive a loaner G35, and the G37 is a big upgrade as far as items stated above.

That is a good point, what with BMW 3-series being so rare and all...
