It could very well be a TVR - company was always changing things on the fly.

It looks like some Taimars didn't have hatches - maybe its an option.

That's not a Taimar, it's an early M-series (1600M/2500M/3000M). A Taimar is basically an M-series TVR with a hatch, i.e. the hatch is what makes it a Taimar.

Man, you kids today have it so easy with them Internets and what not. I snapped this picture in Singapore back in 1993 while in the Navy. It took me about a decade to figure out it was a TVR Tasmin...
