Whats that?
Alot of the earlier 350z (even up to the '05's) had feathering issues with the tires. Basicaly, Nissan messed up when designing the suspension on the 350z. The setup caused premature balding on the tires on the inside. quite a few owners were given rebates on new tires and I think there was a recall or TSB regarding this issue.

Nissan either replaced or re-alligned the suspension with new specs, but alot of owners are still experiencing the problem (ie, the problem was never fully resolved...just postoponed if you will). There was a class action law suit going on a while back...I don't know how or whether its still happening.

I have a MY05 G35 and test drove the Z, and the Z def has the more fun factor. However, I wouldnt get either. The s2000 is a much more fun car. G35 feels like a boat and the interior is very cheap, my friends scion tc's interior is nicer than the interior of my G. There were a lot of tsb's for the car, I to say the least will NEVER buy a nissan ever again.

I don't like the 350z in any color but black, but then I think every car looks best in black. The ass end is just ugly. The g35 on the other hand, has a very attractive rump I think i would go for the G35 and sacrifice a little bit of performance.

I would go with the G35, it looks better, performs almost as good, and you get the extra seats when you need them.

You said insurance is not an issue, but just out of curiosity, which one is cheaper and by how much?

350s are everywhere. Like a Mustang, a Japanese Mustang.
The G35 still looks classy.

I had a 2003 350Z DB touring. I was also looking at the G35 coupe before my purchase of the Z. I went with the Z and regret not getting the G35. I have since sold my 350Z and I am looking into getting another s2k, an ap2 this time. Actually, I ultimately regret selling the s in the first place
