archtop's photo shows this well for those who are more visually oriented, but no, the C6 is much larger than the S2000 -- it's much closer in size to the previous generation BMW 3-Series:
I know its the newest series but ................

Just like the girls, most cars have the same footprint give a take a little, it's the give part. Put an S and a Vette side by side and front to rear they are close to the same length, but side to side it's the skinny chick and the fat girl all over again.

coming from someone who has worked for Chevrolet for many years, the Corvette straight sucks donkey balls. The fit and finish is horrible...the front bumper clips give and the bumper sticks up in front, the dash and door panels weep white powdery residue, they all have a self opening ashtray (every bump), the roofs rattle, the transmissions are sloppy, the auto paddles take what seems like forever to shift the transmission, the clutchpack rearends constantly make a grinding noise (gm had to update the rearend fluid to make this go away), the brakes squeal due to an "aggressive brake pad compound" (dont kid yourself, no matter what you do, they will always sound like they need brakes), the 2005 C6 rooftops are known to delaminate and come completely off the car, the glove box handles break off in your hand, the convertible top partition switches go bad and dont let you put the top down (or up when it matters most), the door handle switches go bad, they go through batteries like nobodies business and need to have a $2000 set of tires replaced every 12,000 miles, the gas door actuators constantly fail (ever see a vette with the gas door taped shut?) the new Z06s have rocker arms that come apart and shed needle bearings into the head and eventually get stuck in the pan...i could rant forevvveeerrrr but the biggest issue i've run into about these things is the people who drive them, i think they must route the exhaust directly into the cabin because they make the most normal of people blundering idiots. i actually have made it a habit to hide from anyone who walks in and starts out a complaint with "i read on corvette forums" because these assholes think you can "flash the computer" to make the car more fuel efficient, faster and drive underwater.

The C6 is hardly huge. The dimensions certainly aren't. However from the driver's seat the corners are hard to identify.
Edit: This was meant to be an earlier post. Not sure why it showed up later.

A fat girl and skinny chick might be the same height, but there's a big difference in the side to side.
