You can't really look at it as $85k worth of gas. It's more like an alternative to buying an Sclass, 7series, A8, but not using any gasoline.
About the $2500 CVRP rebate: It's a check directly to you for $2500, not a tax credit Hmm...I wonder if we'll get taxed on the rebate.

$16/day gas vs $1.50 electricity. So $14.50/day more. Assume 300 days/year of drivng that distance. 4350 dollars less per year. If you keep the car 5 years you've saved 20000 dollars.

One reason these guys can afford a $85k car. They are cheap, even for paying gas, or electrically in this case.

Oh i def. agree with that. But for my situation, and many others, i would need a 2nd car b.c I would need more than a 200-250 mile range, which would negate any cost savings.

Someone who has over a $150k in cars... Yes their are customers out there that care about the environment, or think they do, &/or want the newest tech. car. Gas savings does factor in somewhat. But for most of the people that i know who drive for a Daily $70k+ cars don't really care about the gas mileage as much.

No. I really mean CHEAP. They bring lunch to work everyday. But willing to buy a Tesla S. One reason, get free "gas" from work. 2nd reason, show off to others like most Asians [ie. in this case Chinese and Indians].

Just got notice from American Honda that some dealerships have been releasing EV's to customers who don't live in the states that Honda has allowed the EV to be driven at and now the customers have to return the cars.. I forgot the exact number but there's only about 10 states that Honda will allow the FITEV to reside at if not your screwed. I see a bunch of pissed of people probably suing someone unfortunatley
So if I moved to Arizona, would I have to return mine?
