i think the 325 would be better idea... more practical, free maitnence, and probobly better resale value. although i think youll have equal fun with both cars

Personally, I like the Cooper S more, for it is more fun, smaller, nimbler, better gas mileage, sportier, etc. The Bimmer is too common and bland.

The 325 will cost more out the door, but as stated, it's free maintenance for 4y/50k. Plus, the new 325 seems way better than the old one, as in it has like 30 more horsepower. It will definitely hold value better too.

If she's serious about art, get her something she can haul her work in and won't worry if she spills paint in it. Maybe a wagon. Also, which art school? I don't think I'd roll up in a bimmer at some schools...

Mini also has free maintenance program, and probably has better resale value. However, the all-new 07' model is coming soon.

get the 06 325xi, im actually planning on getting one for the winter. it drives very well, the interior is extremely roomy and looks GORGEOUS, so does the exterior styling. very practical and, heck, it's the ultimate driving machine....and free maintenance and all that jazz
