Pass the Cool-Aid. The SRT-10 is faster than the S2000 even with a 650 lb. load...

Why get any performance vehicle whatsoever? There are speed limits in the US, you know.
The ideal vehicle, theoretically, is one that gets 100mpg - it doesn't matter that its top speed is 75mph. That's as fast as you'll ever go.

Look at the Mustang, for example. As one of the greatest muscle car names, it has been diluted by that nasty V6 engine. The majority of Mustang sales are with the V6 though - seems to be a hit with high school/college girls (and unfortunately guys too).
Maybe the name will be saved with the next-gen Mustang, or maybe it will turn into a V6 front-driver without even a V8 option, like so many of the old-school muscle car names - Cutlass, Monte Carlo, Cougar, Bonneville, Chrysler's letter cars, etc.

Not really. He's right. If you want a perf truck, the Lightning/SRT-10 is not the weapon of choice; rather, you want an F250 turbodiesel.
